World Scholar’s Cup

Once again Bergvliet High School learners showed their worth at The World Scholar’s Cup. 5 teams took part at district level, competing against seven other schools; 35 teams in total.

The World Scholar’s Cup is made up of 4 challenges: The Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Team Debate, and The Scholar’s quiz. Teams that achieve over 20 000 points for the competition qualify to go to an International Global Round.
Bergvliet High are delighted to announce that 3 of their teams made the Top 5 Qualifiers in the senior division with the other 2 teams qualifying with more than 20 000 points.

Team Bergvliet came back with lots of medals and trophies, with each student becoming proud parent of an alpaca, the mascot of the World Scholar’s Cup.

The Global Round will take place in DURBAN, 23 – 27 September 2019.
