In celebration of Heritage Day, staff and learners were encouraged to dress according to their cultural heritage on Tuesday, 25 September.
We also arranged a special assembly where Amala Makwara (wearing the purple skirt) in Grade 10 took the initiative to educate us all on the various cultural groups living in South Africa with a very informative slide show.
Nicole Druchen in Grade 11 suggested that we further embrace the diversity of our learners by acknowledging Deaf Awareness month and invited her mom, Mrs Newhoudt-Druchen (featured 3rd left)to do a presentation at the assembly. She was accompanied by Mr Druchen (extreme left) and two interpreters.
