JOB OVERVIEW
To engage in class teaching, be responsible for the effective functioning of the department and to organise relevant/related extra-curricular activities so as to ensure that the subject, learning area or phase and the education of the learners is promoted in a proper manner.

Recommendations
– Relevant experience
– Utilising technology / ICT in the classroom
– Experience in a promotion post (acting or permanent)
– Applicants must be suitably qualified and prepared to teach the stated subjects from Grade 8 – 12
– Knowledge of SIAS Policy (Screening, Identification, Assessment and Support Policy) and White Paper 6.
– Experience and/or knowledge of behavioural modification strategies.
– Experience and/or knowledge in developing individual development plans for learners
– Involvement in sport and cultural activities

Matric marking experience. Managing external Math’s Funding. Years FET teaching experience. Pastoral care, Timetabling, Budgetary involvement, School Committees, Other portfolios or initiatives.
