At the tail-end of term tests, a Text Book Fixing Competition was held in the library. Parents of Grade 10 learners were invited to submit text books that needed attention.
We had 21 participants competing for cash prizes generously sponsored by our main Text Book supplier, Books 24/7. Six learners earning the most points in the competition, each won R100.
The winners are:
1st Zoë Williams (115 Points): Fixed 7 books & covered 63 books
2nd Michaella Jonkers (91 Points): Fixed 35 books & covered 3 books
3rd Brooke Opie (71 Points): Fixed 18 books & covered 14 books
4th Njabulo Ntintili (66 Points): Fixed 26 books
5th Seth Jonker (62 Points): Fixed 23 books & covered 1 book
6th Erin Jacobs (47 Points): Fixed 4 books & covered 24 books
182 broken text books were fixed during the competition, and 149 text books were covered.
